The story
Perched on the 71st floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, Yu Yue Heen has earned its Michelin star for refined Cantonese cooking that respects tradition while highlighting the region’s finest ingredients. The restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows frame the city skyline, with lush greenery providing a quiet counterpoint to the urban energy outside.
The kitchen focuses on authentic Cantonese cuisine, sourcing premium local ingredients and seasonal seafood. The menu—available à la carte or as a curated tasting experience called “Taste of Yu Yue Heen”—changes to reflect what’s at its peak.
Among the signature dishes are the Yu Yue Heen Prawn Dumpling with Bamboo Shoots, a delicate classic executed with precision; the Yu Yue Heen crispy chicken, golden and tender; braised Chinese softshell turtle with garlic and lemongrass; and roasted Magang goose, a Cantonese specialty.
As of the restaurant’s latest update, Yu Yue Heen has been temporarily relocated to the second floor of the hotel’s podium while the original space undergoes enhancements. The team expects to welcome guests back to a refreshed venue in September. Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, dinner from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
