The story
At Nebo by Deni Srdoč, the kitchen is led by Chef Gabriela Filca, a young talent who, at just 23, became the Chef De Cuisine of this Michelin-starred restaurant in Rijeka. Raised in the mountain village of Prokike, she brings a deep respect for nature to every plate. Her philosophy is clear: "I approach local, zero-waste ingredients with care, connecting Mediterranean tradition with a modern culinary expression."
The menu is a seasonal journey, sourcing ingredients from small biodynamic and ecological farms across Croatia. The team embraces a zero-waste concept, using free-range livestock and seafood from local fishermen. The result is modern cuisine that feels both grounded and inventive. The degustation menu, priced at 160 EUR, unfolds through courses like Beetroot with fenugreek and walnut, Bonito with apple and caper, and a Lamb soup with chanterelles and buckwheat. A shorter menu is also available for 135 EUR.
Gabriela Filca, hand-picked by mentor Deni Srdoč and recipient of the 2025 Young MICHELIN Chef Award, leads a dynamic team. Her approach has earned Nebo its Michelin star, a recognition of high-quality cooking that celebrates the integrity of the land. The wine list, curated by the restaurant’s sommeliers, highlights Croatian labels like Testament Debit / Marastina and Rizman Nonno, with pairings available from 60 to 105 EUR.
Located within the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, Nebo offers a refined setting for this thoughtful, eco-responsible dining experience. It’s a place where the Adriatic’s bounty meets a young chef’s vision, proving that the most profound flavors often begin with a respect for the earth.
