The story

Konoba Kala in Supetar, Croatia – Michelin-Recommended Island Dining

A Family Affair on Brač Island

In the quiet stone streets of Supetar, on the island of Brač, Konoba Kala is a family-run restaurant that has earned a place in the Michelin Guide, as well as recognition from Gault&Millau and Falstaff. It’s also a proud member of Jeunes Restaurateurs (JRE) Croatia, a network of young, independent chefs.

The Chef and His Island

At the stove is young chef Dino Šeparović, whose cooking is deeply rooted in the landscape around him. He draws inspiration directly from the island—a place that, as the restaurant puts it, “crafts beauty from stone and cultivates a wealth of flavors and aromas from the earth.” Seasonality drives his menu: fresh, high-quality local ingredients are transformed through expert technique into plates that speak of Brač’s terroir. Expect Croatian cuisine that is both refined and honest.

Warmth at Every Table

The dining experience is shaped by more than the food. Mia, Dino’s wife and the restaurant’s sommelier, leads the front-of-house team, ensuring every meal is warm, seamless, and memorable. With outdoor seating available during the warmer months, Konoba Kala offers a setting as genuine as the cooking—no frills, just the real taste of the Adriatic.
