The story
YEZI in Zagreb serves modern Pan-Asian cuisine on the ground floor of the Art’otel. Executive Chef Dino Knežević leads the kitchen alongside London Group Executive Chef Werner Seebach and dim sum specialist Tian Hau Low. Their menu focuses on small plates designed for sharing, mirroring the informal social culture of traditional Asian tea houses. This approach earned the venue a score of 13 from Gault&Millau, which notes the excellent balance of rich flavours across the Asian cooking program.
Start with cold bites like shrimp paired with wasabi and avocado sauce or crispy fried squid dressed in tamarind. The kitchen prepares steamed and fried ravioli including pork-filled xiao long bao and Hong Kong-style shrimp gyoza. Heavier wok and grill selections feature slow-cooked beef ribs glazed in teriyaki sauce or oven-baked Chilean Sea Bass. Large parties order the structured Harmony or Imperial tasting menus to sample the full breadth of these dishes.
Drinks at the YEZI bar draw inspiration from the five elemental philosophies of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Grounding botanicals and earthy aromatics define the signature cocktail list. Guests pair their meals with meticulously sourced herbal, white, black or Pu-erh teas alongside visually striking flower art teas. The adjacent patisserie counter serves petite gateaux and macarons that blend regional techniques, such as matcha yuzu mousse or pear earl grey compote.
