The story
At Radio in Copenhagen, the guiding principle is simple: taste is always in season. The kitchen works dynamically with the best ingredients the Danish calendar offers, changing the menu each month. From the first lumpsucker roe of the year and crisp spring rhubarb to summer’s fresh peas, autumn’s mushrooms and game, and winter’s flavorful variations of cabbage, the menu follows the year’s rhythm day by day.
Vegetables take a prominent role—at least one vegetarian dish is always on the menu—but the kitchen also has a deep appreciation for gently caught seafood. When hunters bring pheasants, hare, or deer to the kitchen door, those too are welcomed. The only dogma here is flavour, so a spoonful of caviar or the finest Italian truffles might find their way onto the plate when the moment is right.
The atmosphere is unpretentious and relaxed. The evening is about you and your guests, and the team makes an effort to ensure you feel at home. Keeping the price accessible is important, so that a visit can be a regular pleasure rather than a rare occasion. This approach has earned Radio many regulars—but there is always room for one more.
This commitment to quality and value has been recognised with a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2025, an award for good quality, good value cooking. Radio has also been recommended by Michelin every year from 2015 to 2024, and was named Star Wine List of the Year in Denmark in 2022.
Radio is modern cuisine at its most honest: seasonal, flavour-driven, and served in a setting that makes you want to stay.
