The story
The team at Plein focuses on a changing menu of four to six dishes. The food is seasonal, creative and surprising, drawing on the best produce available. Each evening, guests can choose from a standard menu that has recently featured hamachi with currant and ginger, a clever potato preparation with mustard and truffle, and fish of the day paired with beetroot and Macvin. A vegetarian or vegan menu is available on request, and during the week it is possible to shorten the menu for a lighter meal.
The wine list, selected by the staff, is short but comprehensive and interesting. It leans toward natural and grower-producer bottles from France, Italy, Austria, and beyond, with names like Ganevat, Occhipinti, and Foradori. Alongside a thoughtfully curated wine pairing package, the drink list rotates with microbrewery beers and cocktails. The approach is considerate, expert, and relaxed — service that matches the cooking in its care and attention.
This commitment to quality and value has earned Plein a Michelin Bib Gourmand, recognizing good quality, good value cooking. It is a restaurant where the food and drink are built around the seasons and the team's instincts, not trends. Guests are welcome to come alone or in company, and the atmosphere is one of genuine warmth.
