The story
In La Biolle, just outside Aix-les-Bains, Clément and Béatrice have created a restaurant that feels both personal and precise. Their story began at the legendary "Flocons de Sel" in Megève, before Clément honed his craft in Michelin-starred kitchens and Béatrice built her experience in high-end hotel reception. Since opening La Table des Bauges in October 2017, they have been quietly building something special.
The guiding philosophy is simple: a cuisine built on fresh, seasonal products, made entirely in-house. Priority goes to local producers and ingredients from organic or sustainably farmed sources. This commitment to a genuine farm-to-table approach is the bedrock of every dish that leaves the kitchen.
In 2021, the Michelin guide recognised their work, and the restaurant continues to hold this recommendation—a testament to the consistency and quality of the cooking. The menu offers several paths to discovery, from the daily Menu du jour to the more elaborate Menu Découverte, the Menu Dégustation, and the Menu du Chef.
The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, with a terrace for outdoor seating and wheelchair access ensuring the table is open to everyone. The restaurant also offers private dining options and can be privatised for special events. It is, as they describe it, a place for "cuisine, wine, life."
