The story
Chef Attilio Marrazzo, born in Naples and trained in Italy and France, opened L'Attilio Briollay as his second restaurant after a successful Parisian address. Here, in the Loire Valley, he expresses a cuisine that is both contemporary and deeply personal. "Each plate tells a story," the restaurant says — a story written from memory, from product, from the rhythm of the seasons.
The restaurant occupies the Château de Noirieux, a 15th-century manor set in nine hectares of parkland along the Loir river, just fifteen minutes from Angers. The property includes only nineteen rooms, reinforcing an intimate, unhurried atmosphere. Guests come for dinner and often stay the night, letting the meal linger into the calm of the Anjou countryside.
The kitchen works with produce from its own vegetable garden and from trusted local suppliers. The menu changes with the market. Two formats are available: a tasting menu in five or seven courses, and a weekly "Inspiration du Marché" menu at lunch, offering a selection of three starters, three mains (meat, fish, and a vegetarian creation), and two desserts. The cooking is precise, sincere, and rooted in the place — Italian heritage meets Angevin terroir in dishes that balance texture, temperature, and flavor.
In 2026, the Guide Michelin again selected L'Attilio Briollay among its recommended tables in Anjou. The inspectors recognized the consistency and quality of a young restaurant that has built its reputation quietly, through a cuisine that speaks for itself. For the team, this selection validates a trajectory — and an invitation to make the journey to Briollay.
