The story
In June 2018, Sandra and Léo opened Cozna in Annecy’s old town, a name that means “kitchen” in the local Savoyard dialect. The couple met while working in the kitchens of celebrated Parisian chefs, including Yannick Alléno at Le Meurice and Frédéric Robert at La Grande Cascade. After also cooking in New York, they chose to settle in Léo’s hometown, bringing their refined technique and a deep respect for the seasons.
The cooking at Cozna is modern cuisine, driven by the rhythm of the seasons. The ingredients are fresh and market-driven, letting the produce of the region speak for itself. This clear, honest approach to flavour and technique is why the restaurant earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand, an award that recognises good quality, good value cooking.
The restaurant offers outdoor seating, allowing guests to soak in the atmosphere of the historic Faubourg Sainte-Claire. The dining room is intimate, reflecting the personal dedication of Sandra and Léo. It is a place for a considered lunch or dinner, with a focus on simplicity and substance.
