The story
Les Pêcheurs has been an Antibes institution since the 1940s, anchored on the Cap d’Antibes peninsula within the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel. The restaurant’s name – “the fishermen” – is a promise: every morning, Chef Nicolas Rondelli builds his menu around what the local boats bring back. The result is a Mediterranean cuisine that changes with the sea’s generosity, never forced, always precise.
Rondelli lets the day’s catch dictate the composition. There is no fixed repertoire; instead, the kitchen responds to the freshest fish and shellfish landed that morning. The style is clean and direct, letting the quality of the ingredients speak. The Michelin star, awarded for high-quality cooking, reflects this unwavering commitment to sourcing and technique.
The dining room evokes the golden age of ocean liners. Rust-coloured marble flooring stretches toward the Mediterranean, while polished mahogany walls catch the shifting light. Large windows dissolve the boundary between indoors and sea, making each table feel like the deck of a private yacht. The atmosphere is hushed but not stiff – a place where the sound of waves replaces background music. Dinner service begins at 7:30 pm, and the experience is one of quiet immersion in the Côte d’Azur’s maritime heritage.
