The story
In the wine-growing village of Pupillin, just outside Arbois, La Table du Grapiot is a gastronomic restaurant that grew out of a shared passion. The team – Vivien, Noémie, Violette and Hugo – all trained in fine dining houses, came together to write the next chapter of a local institution. Their approach is rooted in the love of exacting work and a freshness that makes this a genuinely atypical collective venture.
The restaurant’s identity is built around the primacy of wine. With a cellar lined with beautiful bottles from the region’s artisan winemakers and beyond, the menu is a free and audacious interpretation of the seasons. The kitchen is refined, drawing on memories of travel and childhood to create dishes of emotion and fullness. The result is a dining experience that the team describes as “a universe of high sensitivity” – elegant, humble, and welcoming.
This commitment to quality has earned La Table du Grapiot a Michelin Recommended distinction, placing it among the most interesting tables in the Jura. Diners can choose from multi-course menus – from a 3-time Discovery Menu to a 7-time Experience Menu – each designed to showcase the best of the terroir and the team’s creativity. The bistro, open in summer, offers a more casual counterpoint.
The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, with a private parking lot, terrace, and air conditioning. It’s a place for those who love good produce, fine wine, and the pleasure of being well received.
