The story
Just ten minutes from Auxerre in Burgundy, La Table - Maison Lobies is not a typical restaurant. It is the home of chefs Sun and Jérémie, lovingly redesigned to welcome guests. Overlooking the countryside between the village church and open fields, the setting is calm and authentic—a place to dine with a direct view of the French landscape.
Sun and Jérémie met at Joël Robuchon’s kitchens, united by a deep love for cooking. Jérémie was on the savory side, while Sun worked in pastry. Together for over fifteen years, they have built their dream.
Sun, originally from South Korea, is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Her career includes time at Pierre Hermé and at the Sofitel Paris le Faubourg with Yannick Alléno. Jérémie, from Auxerre, trained at some of France’s most respected tables: L’Espérance with Marc Meneau, Jacques Lameloise, and the Ritz Paris.
The restaurant offers a single menu-carte at 45€, featuring a starter, main course, and dessert, with several choices at each stage. The cuisine, which earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, is built on careful technique and seasonal ingredients.
A highlight is Sun’s pastry work. Her desserts—from moist cakes to crisp tarts, creamy custards to refreshing sorbets—are unique creations with elegant presentations, made with passion and precision.
The wine list is a careful selection of Yonne’s best, including the great houses of Chablis, alongside wines from across Burgundy. The Loire Valley is represented by Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, and the Rhône Valley by Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, and Côte Rôtie.
La Table - Maison Lobies is open Monday to Friday from 7pm to 9pm, and Friday lunch from 12pm to 1:30pm. It is an intimate, personal restaurant where the hospitality feels as genuine as the cooking.
