The story
O2C, run by former helicopter pilot Christophe Belegaud and his wife Chantal, earned a Michelin Recommended award for its straightforward, market-driven modern French cuisine. Located at 20 place de Strasbourg in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, the restaurant offered a cream-and-chocolate-toned dining room with a modern, understated decor.
Christophe Belegaud, a self-taught cook passionate about local produce, ran the kitchen with a 100% homemade philosophy. The Michelin guide noted that his cuisine "goes straight to the point," based on seasonal market ingredients and regional traditions. Chantal, the second "c" of O2C, provided attentive service.
Guests could enjoy a private terrace for sunny days, and the restaurant accommodated private events. The menu featured French classics with a focus on fish, regional dishes, and vegetarian options, all prepared with care. The selection included aromatic beers, alcoholic beverages, and desserts like ice cream and fruit.
O2C received a Guide du Routard selection in 2021 before earning its Michelin Recommended distinction. However, the restaurant closed on September 20, 2025, making way for a new venture, EMA. Its brief but memorable run left a mark on the Bagnères-de-Bigorre dining scene.
