The story
At 2 rue Gaudrine, just steps from the historic centre of Bruz, chef Jean-Baptiste Philau has opened his first restaurant. Récolte is the realisation of a career spent in gastronomic kitchens and bistros across France, Paris, and abroad—most notably at the Paris restaurant Saturne under chef Sven Chartier. That experience shaped the cooking Philau now offers: a precise, thoughtful modern cuisine that marries gastronomic technique with the warmth of a traditional bistro.
The guiding philosophy at Récolte is simplicity and respect for nature. The menu changes with the seasons, built entirely around organic, local produce sourced from nearby farmers, market gardeners, fishermen, and breeders who share the restaurant’s values of sustainability. Every dish reflects what is fresh and available—no fixed carte, but a blackboard that evolves daily.
Lunch service runs Tuesday to Friday with a set menu at 24€ for entrée, plat, and dessert. In the evenings and at Saturday lunch, the à l’ardoise format offers a deliberately short selection of plates, each one showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The wine list focuses on natural, living wines that mirror the kitchen’s commitment to the land.
Récolte earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, an award that recognises good quality, good value cooking. It is a fitting nod to a restaurant that sets out to make refined, seasonal food genuinely accessible. The dining room is welcoming, the team young and energetic, and the atmosphere one of genuine hospitality—a place where the pleasure of the table comes first.
