The story
At Séquence, chef Antoine and his team welcome guests into a warm, convivial space in central Caen. The restaurant focuses on seasonal Modern Cuisine, with a strong commitment to local sourcing and environmental responsibility. Ingredients are carefully selected from local producers, and the kitchen works with a market gardener to compost waste, while single-use plastic has been eliminated from the operation.
The menu changes with the seasons, offering a fresh palette of colours and flavours. Lunch is designed to be enjoyed within an hour, making it a refined but efficient break. In the evening, the experience deepens, and once a month, a themed dinner explores a single ingredient or theme—pastries in June, lobster in July and August, or an asparagus saga in May. The menu can be made entirely vegetarian upon request, and the team is happy to accommodate allergies and dietary preferences.
Séquence’s thoughtful approach and consistent quality have earned it a Michelin recommendation, placing it among the noteworthy tables in Caen. The dining room is also available for private events, with seated or cocktail formats for lunch or dinner.
Whether you come for a quick gourmet lunch or a leisurely evening tasting, Séquence offers a genuine taste of Normandy’s terroir, prepared with skill and respect for the environment.
