The story

Bonnie Restaurant Cahors – Modern Cuisine with a Michelin Recommendation

Bonnie, Cahors

Opened in October 2023, Bonnie is the Cahors restaurant of chef Charlotte Bonnie and her husband Rodolphe. Set in the shadow of the cathedral and a short walk from the banks of the Lot river, the restaurant serves a market-driven modern cuisine that prizes instinct and emotion over technical rigidity.

Charlotte Bonnie, a chef with a background in fine arts, sees cooking as an expressive medium — a creation that is eaten. Her approach favours a well-ordered simplicity, building plates from the best ingredients the market offers, without pretence. Her husband Rodolphe runs the dining room and the wine cellar, where the local Cahors wine — known elsewhere as Malbec or Auxerrois — naturally takes a starring role.

The restaurant’s commitment to honest, market-fresh cooking earned it a Michelin Recommendation in 2026, a recognition that aligns with its unshowy philosophy. Lunch and dinner service runs Tuesday through Saturday, with outdoor seating available for warmer months.

Bonnie’s modern cuisine is driven by what is available and what feels right, not by a fixed template. The result is a restaurant that feels both personal and grounded — a place where the cooking speaks for itself.
