The story
Since 2003, chef Jean François Dive has been crafting a cuisine that is both inventive and of the season. At his restaurant L'Ô à la Bouche in Cahors, the focus is squarely on the market: dishes are built exclusively from fresh, locally sourced produce, selected from nearby producers and transformed with original compositions that aim to engage all five senses. This modern cuisine is prepared in an open kitchen, allowing guests to watch the process with complete transparency.
The setting is a fully restored old building on the Allées Fénelon, steps from the tourist office. Inside, the atmosphere is sober and restful. When the weather allows, the terrace on the pedestrian square, shaded by large parasols, is the place to be. Florence Dive and her team provide a welcome that is both warm and discreet.
A carefully chosen wine list complements the food. Florence personally selects bottles from local Cahors vineyards and beyond, favoring small, terroir-driven estates. The pairings are designed to enhance each menu.
Since 2005, the restaurant has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition of its good quality, good value cooking that keeps guests returning year after year.
