The story
In the heart of the Lot region, near Cajarc, La Table de Charrou is a restaurant that proudly swims against the current. “In a world where everything is becoming uniform,” the team states, “we offer a cuisine of identity.” This philosophy is the foundation of everything they do.
Located at the Mas de Charrou in Limogne-en-Quercy, this is a place where the raw product takes center stage. The kitchen works with ultra-short supply chains, sourcing meat directly from local producers. The team breaks down whole carcasses on-site, valuing every cut — from the well-known to the more intimate. This commitment to the product is a key reason the restaurant earned a place in the Michelin guide, a recognition that underscores their dedication to honest, high-quality cooking.
The menu changes monthly, with a "carte maligne" available for weekday lunches and a more extensive à la carte service in the evenings and on Saturdays. On Sundays, a single menu is offered, centered around lamb roasted in a traditional wood-fired oven. The cooking is entirely homemade, with the exception of bread from the Viguié bakery and ice cream from the Sanhes farm. Vegetarian options and dietary accommodations are available upon request.
Wine is a passion here, guided by a trained sommelier. The cellar is a careful selection of bottles from organic and biodynamic producers, showcasing cuvées from across France and beyond, for every taste and budget. The setting is relaxed and welcoming, with a peaceful terrace under a pergola and air-conditioned dining room. Free, secure parking is available, and well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
