The story
In the heart of Cambo-les-Bains, Terrae offers a sincere and generous take on modern cuisine. The cooking is described as being "à notre image" – a reflection of the team behind it: honest, flavour-driven, and contemporary. The dining room is intimate and welcoming, designed for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
The kitchen works without a fixed à la carte. Instead, three changing menus guide the meal: Terrae (three courses, 42€), Enéa (four courses, 68€), and Oihana (five courses, 79€). Each evolves with the season and the chef’s inspiration.
A deep commitment to local sourcing defines the restaurant. The team lists a wide network of Basque producers, from the boulangerie Berterreix for bread to the cooperative Belaun for Kintoa pork, and from Truite de Banka for trout to Maison Garat for poultry. Other suppliers include Ferme Xuastia for foie gras, Nouste Ekilili for sunflower oil, and Lurretik for Espelette pepper and lamb. This network ensures that the modern cuisine on the plate is rooted in the land and waters of the Pays Basque.
Terrae earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that aligns with its precise, product-driven approach. The restaurant is a project realised after years of working in starred and renowned establishments across France, now brought to life in a place that feels personal and convivial.
Dinner and lunch are served, with the restaurant closed on Sundays and Mondays.
