The story
In the quiet village of Jarnac-Champagne, just a short drive from Cognac, Le Coude à Coude is a restaurant built on the simple idea of pleasure and sharing. The kitchen works with fresh, seasonal products, and everything is made in-house — from the gastronomic “Saveurs” menu served at lunch and dinner, to the bistronomic menu offered at midday.
The restaurant’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship has been recognised with a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 Michelin Guide, an award that celebrates good value and skilful cooking. It is also a Maître Restaurateur, a French label that guarantees entirely homemade food.
The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, with outdoor seating for warmer days and a private room available for events. Le Coude à Coude is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday, with additional midday service on Tuesday and Wednesday. On special occasions, such as the Fête des Pères, the team opens on Sunday too.
The menu changes regularly, reflecting what is best at the market. For a taste of the chef’s modern cuisine, the “Saveurs” menu is the most complete experience, while the bistronomic option offers a lighter, more casual take on the same philosophy. Reservations are taken by phone, and gift vouchers are available for those who want to share the experience.
Le Coude à Coude is a place where the food speaks for itself — fresh, honest, and full of flavour.
