The story
Le Pavillon Gourmand is set in Eguisheim, a village of half-timbered houses, cascading geraniums and storks – named France’s favourite village in 2013. The restaurant itself is a family affair, seating 36 (up to 50 for banquets), with a summer terrace that lets you dine in the middle of this picture-perfect Alsatian scene.
The kitchen follows a philosophy of gastronomic and terroir cooking, with every dish made 100% in-house. The chef prepares his own foie gras maison, and the menu changes to highlight the best regional produce through a modern lens. Several set menus guide diners through the flavours of Alsace – robust, refined, and rooted in the land. The Michelin Recommended distinction it holds reflects the integrity and consistency of the cooking.
Le Pavillon Gourmand also runs a boutique offering authentic local products and caters private events, from cocktails to full banquets. Whether you are enjoying a leisurely lunch on the terrace, ordering takeaway, or celebrating with family, the welcome is warm and the commitment to farm-to-table, handmade food remains the same.
