A clear, sincere cuisine inspired by nature

At the heart of Les Sources de Cheverny, Le Favori holds one Michelin star for its high-quality cooking. Chef Pierre Frindel, an Alsatian native, refined his craft alongside Joël Robuchon, Pierre Gagnaire, and Yannick Alléno before finding his signature style with double-starred chef Nicolas Masse at La Grand’Vigne. That experience sealed his connection to the Les Sources group, where he now creates a modern cuisine rooted in the deep identity of the Loire Valley.

The restaurant’s plates are built around a few essential ingredients, each fully legible. Vegetables take center stage, grown in the “royal vegetable garden of France,” and are paired with noble fish and game from the rich Sologne forests. The journey moves from the garden to the woods—between the rigor of the garden and the instinct of foraging, the freshness of vegetables and the depth of the undergrowth. Every creation reveals the essence of the product, without artifice.

The dining room itself is elegant and calming, with natural wood enveloping the space and large bay windows opening onto flowering gardens and natural pools. Clean lines and warm materials invite contemplation.

Chef Sommelier Paul Rybard orchestrates wine pairings from his “organ of flasks,” selecting the best crus to express the soul of the house. Menus are offered in three, four, or six stages, ranging from 90€ to 180€.
