The story
At Le K2 Altitude, just above the slopes of Courchevel 1850, L'Altitude is a restaurant that pays deliberate homage to the grand tradition of French cuisine. Awarded Recommended by the Michelin Guide, it is a place where the foundations of classic cooking are treated with respect and a contemporary touch.
The kitchen is led by chefs Guillaume Duchemin and Davide Sessa. Their approach is rooted in the classics—precise seasoning, fine, enveloping sauces, and a clear reverence for the repertoire of traditional French gastronomy. Yet the expression is modern: a "contemporary interpretation," as they describe it, of dishes that have defined French dining for generations.
The dining room itself is described as relaxed and warm, a counterpoint to the precision on the plate. Desserts, conceived as another nod to this living culinary history, are the work of pastry chef Sébastien Vauxion.
Open every evening from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, L'Altitude offers a focused experience of classic French cuisine in one of the Alps' most celebrated resorts. Valet parking and wheelchair access are available.
