The story
On rue Jeannin, steps from Place Darcy, chef Julien Burdin runs L'Évidence — a restaurant that has held the Michelin Bib Gourmand every year from 2021 through 2026. The award recognises what the team call a "cuisine of heart and terroir": refined, generously portioned, and accessible.
The dining room is contemporary: soft tones, dim lighting, floral touches. It is designed for romantic dinners, professional lunches, or evenings with friends — warm and convivial rather than formal.
Burdin’s cooking is built on Bourguignon produce, changing with the seasons. The menu describes it as "bistronomic" — a modern, sincere take on French tradition that respects local producers. Every dish is made in-house.
The carte evolves regularly. At lunch, a market menu offers a three-course formula (entrée, plat, dessert) at a reasonable price. In the evening, the "Menu L'Évidence" and a "suggestion d'exception" give diners a choice of meat or fish. The wine list holds over 40 references, with bottles kept for optimal ageing and several available by the glass. All meats are French-sourced.
Since opening, L'Évidence has built a loyal following — the Valentine’s Day menus, for instance, have filled quickly. The Bib Gourmand, awarded annually for good-quality, good-value cooking, underscores the consistency of Burdin’s project: a modern cuisine that stays true to its Burgundian roots, served in a setting that feels both elegant and easy.
