The story
On the edge of the Vitry-en-Artois airfield, where small propeller planes take off against an horizon of green, Air Accueil has built a reputation on a simple philosophy: the search for taste. Chef Franck Gilabert runs the kitchen as a sanctuary, working with a tight-knit team to deliver creative, modern cuisine that places respect for the product at its centre. In 2014, this approach earned the restaurant a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin guide, a recognition of good quality, good value cooking that it continues to hold.
The dining rooms are spacious and welcoming, with private rooms available for family meals, romantic dinners, or business seminars. The atmosphere is hushed and warm, making the restaurant a versatile choice for any occasion. For warmer months, there is also outdoor seating.
Gilabert’s cuisine is described as a relentless pursuit of perfection. While the menu changes with the seasons and the chef’s inspiration, the focus remains on talent and research – a constant effort to make every plate exceptional. The wine list is noteworthy, and the restaurant can accommodate private events and culinary classes.
Air Accueil is open daily for lunch and dinner, closed Sunday evening, all day Monday, and Wednesday evening.
