The story
In the charming village of Flayosc, Emilie and Davy Jobard welcome guests to Le Nid – a small, elegant restaurant they call a “table intimiste.” The dining room is cosy and modern, the atmosphere warm. Emilie takes care of the front-of-house with attentive advice, while Chef Davy works the stove.
The couple’s cooking is rooted in experience gained in Michelin-starred houses, yet it remains personal and unpretentious. Their plates are graphic and clean, built around fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local artisans and producers. The cuisine draws on the flavours of the Mediterranean and also nods to their roots in western France. It is a modern cuisine that changes with the seasons, driven by a philosophy summed up in their own words: “the choice of products, respect for the seasons, the alchemy of flavours, the passion of our craft in the service of taste.”
Le Nid’s commitment to quality and value has earned it a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition that rewards good cooking at a reasonable price. For diners exploring the Var, this is a place where thoughtful technique meets genuine hospitality – a quiet spot to enjoy a meal that feels both precise and heartfelt.
