The story
After 15 years at the legendary Au Grand Véfour in Paris, chef Luc returned to his hometown of Évian-les-Bains. In April 2015, he and his wife Pascale opened Au Jardin d'Eden. Their philosophy, as the restaurant’s own pages state, is that “cuisine is when things taste of what they are” – a conviction that shines through every plate.
The dining room is warm, woody, and air-conditioned, with a terrace for sunny days. Pascale and Luc receive guests as friends, creating an atmosphere of genuine conviviality. Their goal is simple: to share a moment through food.
Luc’s cooking is traditional, built on the freshest market produce. The menu changes with the seasons but always features dishes like a fricassée of veal sweetbreads with girolles, roasted veal chop with baby vegetables, or fillets of perch meunière from nearby Lake Léman – only those caught locally. Every dessert is made in-house, a mark of the kitchen’s integrity.
The wine list boasts more than 120 references, with several offered by the glass. Pascale and Luc are happy to guide each guest, pairing dishes with care and enthusiasm.
This dedication to quality and heartfelt hospitality earned Au Jardin d'Eden a place among France’s recommended tables. In 2026, it was named a Michelin Recommended restaurant – an acknowledgement of its consistent, honest cooking and the warmth of its welcome.
