A Bistrot for All Seasons

The restaurant, attached to Hôtel La Bastide d’Eygalières, adapts to the rhythms of Provence. In winter, guests settle into a warm dining room or the private salon with its fireplace. When summer arrives, the shaded terrace becomes the place to linger over lunch or dinner. The restaurant is open daily for both meals.

What’s on the Carte

The menu changes with the seasons but always leans on local ingredients. Starters might include snails from Mollégès in persillade, old tomato salad with burrata, or a bone marrow gratin. Mains range from whole sole meunière to a bourride of monkfish with fennel salad, duck breast with honey and fennel seeds, and a confit shoulder of lamb from the Crau region, smoked with thyme. For two, there is a veal chop glazed in its own jus.

Desserts stay true to bistrot classics: chocolate mousse, île flottante with thyme-infused crème anglaise, clafoutis, crème brûlée, or a barquette of Ciflorette strawberries with house-made whipped cream.

A lunch menu is offered on weekdays (excluding holidays and July–August), with two or three courses at set prices, featuring the chef’s daily selection.

Recognition

The quality and consistency of this cooking have earned Le Bistrot du Brau a place in the Michelin guide, where it is listed as Recommended. It is a well-deserved nod to a restaurant that does exactly what a bistrot should: serve honest, flavourful food in a welcoming setting, day after day.
