The story
Perched at 1110 metres on the slopes of the Col de la Schlucht, Le Collet is a chalet hotel and restaurant that brings the spirit of the Vosges to the table. Its dining room, La Table de Montagne, is the domain of chef Olivier Lapôtre, a Maître Cuisinier de France, and chef Julien Claude. Their cooking draws on the seasons and local traditions without being bound by them – a balance of country cooking and modern cuisine that earned the restaurant a Michelin recommendation in 2026.
The menu changes with the calendar, highlighting the best of the Vosges terroir. Easter brings a special menu built around spring produce, while Mother's Day sees a refined, passion-driven offering. The kitchen is rooted in the landscape: wild herbs, lake fish, forest mushrooms, and farm cheeses appear in dishes that feel both familiar and surprising. The service is attentive, the atmosphere relaxed – warm wood, soft lighting, and wide windows that frame the mountain views.
Le Collet is more than a restaurant; it is a place to stay, with 33 rooms and suites, a 450m² spa, and a bar with a terrace. But for those who come simply to eat, La Table de Montagne delivers exactly what a mountain restaurant should: honest, creative food that respects the place it comes from.
