The story
Since opening its doors in 2023, Le Lingot has quickly made its mark on Honfleur’s dining scene. The restaurant’s name, drawn from the street address on Rue des Lingots, hints at something precious – and the cooking lives up to the promise. In 2026, Michelin awarded Le Lingot its “Recommended” distinction, a nod to the kitchen’s confident, ingredient-driven approach.
The chef, described on the restaurant’s own site as a master of French cuisine, works with the best local and seasonal produce. The menu changes daily, built around what the market offers that morning. Guests choose from four formulas, each one a surprise of refined flavours presented with clean elegance. “Each bite is an explosion of refined and delicate flavours,” the team writes, “presented with unparalleled elegance.”
Le Lingot’s philosophy is one of creative spontaneity. Rather than a fixed à la carte, the kitchen proposes an intuitive menu – “cuisine intuitive à partir des produits du jour.” This allows the chef to respond to the freshest ingredients and to keep the element of surprise alive. The result is modern cuisine that feels both grounded in French tradition and refreshingly of the moment.
The wine list, carefully curated, features French bottles chosen to complement the plates. And the kitchen is happy to adapt to allergies and intolerances, so every guest can enjoy the full experience.
The restaurant describes itself as a “charming French restaurant, a true haven of peace where gastronomy meets a warm and welcoming atmosphere.” The interior is elegant yet convivial, and in fine weather, outdoor seating is available. A private room can also be booked for special occasions.
Le Lingot is open for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays, and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
For those seeking modern cuisine in Honfleur that is both precise and personal, Le Lingot delivers – simply, and exquisitely.
