The story

Anne de Bretagne, La Plaine-sur-Mer – Michelin Two-Star Dining

The Table of Mathieu Guibert

At the Port de Gravette in La Plaine-sur-Mer, Anne de Bretagne is the domain of chef Mathieu Guibert. His Michelin two-star restaurant, La Table de Mathieu Guibert, sits within the hotel of the same name, overlooking the Atlantic coast. The dining room welcomes guests with a calm, coastal atmosphere, and the kitchen’s work is rooted in the region’s finest produce. The restaurant reopened in May, while the hotel follows in July.

Menus and Craft

The restaurant offers two tasting journeys: Alchimie in four or five services, and Quintessence, a seven-service exploration. All dishes are also available à la carte. A children’s menu introduces young palates to the four tastes – acid, salty, sweet, and bitter. Chef pâtissier Jérémie Bousseau creates the desserts, and a cheese plateau is offered separately. The wine list, called Livre de cave, is extensive and carefully curated.

Recognition

Anne de Bretagne holds two Michelin stars, awarded for “excellent cooking.” The restaurant is part of a larger estate that includes a hotel and a bistrot marin, Beau Boucot, in nearby Tharon-Plage. Whether for a full tasting menu or a simpler meal, the focus remains on precise, generous cooking that honours its seaside setting.
