The story
La Table de L'Oléa sits at the heart of the oyster port of La Teste-de-Buch, on the edge of the Arcachon Basin. The restaurant occupies a calm, refined space with one of the rare west-facing terraces on the basin – a spot designed for watching the sunset year-round.
Chef Brice Tomico leads the kitchen with a modern, delicate approach. His cooking is guided by the day's freshest arrivals: line-caught fish, local oysters and seasonal produce. The result is a cuisine that balances authenticity with elegance and creativity.
The menu changes with the season, conceived as an ephemeral creation built around what is best at the market. To ensure harmony of service and experience, all guests at a table share the same menu. Choices range from a lunchtime bistronomic Market Menu at 32€ (starter, main, dessert – weekdays only), to a refined three-course menu at 65€, and longer tasting journeys in five or seven courses (80€ and 95€ respectively). The seven-course menu is served evenings on weekdays, and both lunch and dinner on weekends and public holidays.
This modern cuisine-focused restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended award, a recognition that aligns with the precision and care evident in every plate. The setting – on the port, with outdoor seating and parking nearby – makes it a natural stop for anyone exploring the Bassin d'Arcachon. La Table de L'Oléa is open all year, welcoming guests to experience the basin's gentle atmosphere through the lens of a skilled chef.
