The story
Since 2005, Claudine and Yvéric have been welcoming guests to Auberge de Bel Air, their family home set between the communes of Brélès and Lanildut in the Pays d'Iroise. This is a place where the rhythm of the day is set by the tides and the seasons – and where the table reflects both.
The restaurant, recognized by the Michelin Guide as Recommended, serves dinner from 19h45 and lunch from 12h30. The kitchen’s philosophy is summed up in a handful of words that appear on the gallery page: Savoir, Terroir; Tentations, Emotions; Voyage, Partage; Saveurs, Douceurs; Epices, Délices; Surprise, Gourmandise. It is a poetic promise of a meal rooted in the land, yet open to surprise.
The cuisine is unmistakably French, drawing on the terroir of Brittany. The menu changes with what is fresh and local – no fixed dishes are listed online, but the approach is clear: honest, seasonal cooking that balances tradition with a touch of creativity. Vegetarian options are available, and the dining room extends to an outdoor terrace for warmer months.
Auberge de Bel Air also offers bed-and-breakfast accommodation, making it a natural stop for travelers exploring the rugged coastline of Finistère. The atmosphere is that of a well-kept family home: unpretentious, welcoming, and deeply connected to its place.
The restaurant is closed Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday lunch – a schedule that respects both the kitchen and the land it depends on. Whether you come for a meal or stay the night, you will find a genuine sense of hospitality that has earned the trust of the Michelin inspectors.
