The story
In the quiet village of Orchimont, near Les Hautes-Rivières, Jeux de Goûts is a restaurant where nature and the table are in direct conversation. Run by Fanny, Jérôme, Théo, and Ayden, the kitchen here is guided by a clear philosophy: to preserve the land that feeds us. This commitment to sustainable, seasonal country cooking earned the restaurant a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, an award that recognizes good quality, good value cooking.
The menu changes with the seasons, drawing on a network of local producers that reads like a who’s who of the region’s best artisans. Organic butter from Ferme Adam Vincent, milk and yogurt from Ferme de la Yauge, game from Fumet des Ardennes, and organic vegetables from Terracines and Potager du Guimpoux are just a few of the ingredients that find their way onto the plate. Even the coffee is organic and Fairtrade, sourced from Cafermi in Bièvre. This dedication to locality extends beyond food: the restaurant’s décor features pottery from Bohan and cutlery rests on local blue stone.
The atmosphere is warm and convivial, a place for families, friends, and couples to share a meal. From the photos, you can see dishes like marinated tofu with lacto-fermented beetroot, tandoori-spiced lobster, suckling pig, and roasted peaches, all presented with care. The dining room opens onto a terrace, and for those who want to linger, there are two guestrooms on-site, including a 40m² suite. A new electric vehicle charging point makes it easy to plan a longer stay.
Jeux de Goûts is open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, and for lunch on Friday and Sunday. It’s a place where the food tells the story of its landscape, and where the welcome is as genuine as the cooking.
