The story
In the village of La Vacquerie Saint Martin de Castries, 45 minutes from Montpellier, L'Ogustin brings modern cuisine to the heart of the Larzac Méridional. Chef Pricillia Lebon, a self-taught cook, draws on her family heritage: her grandparents were restaurateurs and market gardeners, instilling a deep respect for the land and honest cooking. The restaurant itself is named after her grandfather, Augustin Lebon.
Every ingredient is carefully sourced within the Hérault, following an eco-responsible philosophy that respects the natural cycle of seasons. This commitment to locality and seasonality defines L'Ogustin's modern cuisine. The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognises this approach, highlighting good quality cooking at a reasonable price. Guests can expect a menu that showcases the terroir of the Larzac, from its pastures to its gardens.
With outdoor seating available and wheelchair access, the restaurant welcomes diners for dinner from Thursday lunch through Sunday evening. Private parties and culinary classes are also offered, allowing guests to delve deeper into Pricillia's culinary world. The restaurant's organic focus and eco-responsible certification from Ecotable further underline its dedication to thoughtful dining. Whether enjoying a meal on the terrace or inside, L'Ogustin offers a genuine taste of the region.
