In the heart of Lyon’s 6th arrondissement, between Foch and Masséna, Bistro B is a modern bistro that puts quality and seasonality first. The kitchen works with an intentionally short menu – one that changes every two weeks – to ensure every dish reflects what is best from local producers and artisans. This is modern cuisine driven by the market, not by a fixed repertoire.

In the dining room, Thomas Nicolle brings a wealth of experience from Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe and the United States – including Les Terrasses de Lyon, Sketch, The Ledbury, Le Taillevent, Astrance, and as Director of Cyril Lignac’s Le Quinzième. At Bistro B, he translates that background into a style of service that is simple, warm, and unpretentious.

The restaurant has been recognized by the Michelin Guide since 2021, first with the Assiette and now as part of the selection proper. It also holds a “Table Gourmande” designation from Gault & Millau and a “Restaurant de Qualité” label from the Collège Culinaire de France. These distinctions are not incidental – they reflect the house’s commitment to transparency, hospitality, and value, as well as the conviction that a short, seasonal carte is the best way to honor ingredients.

Bistro B also takes its wine seriously. The wine list is curated with care, and guests can buy a bottle to take home at cellar prices. A few house cocktails round out the options. The dining room is air-conditioned, with outside seating for warmer months, and the space can accommodate private events.
