The story
In the heart of Megève village, Vous is an intimate 14-seat counter where chef Julien Gatillon’s culinary identity meets the guest face-to-face. The concept is simple: you sit at the counter, the kitchen is in front of you, and the meal unfolds in direct exchange with the team. It is a format that demands precision and invites warmth.
Gatillon had long wanted to open a gastronomic address in the centre of Megève. The opportunity came when he found the space and reunited with Jean Pastre, his former right-hand man. Pastre, who grew up in the Alps of Haute-Provence, sees cooking as a privileged link to nature and human encounters. In June 2025, Florian Duval joined the brigade. Duval first worked with Gatillon at the opening of the Four Seasons in 2017 and brings ambition and rigour to the kitchen.
Vous serves a single service per meal, with two tasting menus. The Découverte menu (€140) includes dishes such as confit trout with Melba toast and chervil mousseline, Jerusalem artichoke cooked with black truffle, roasted Dombes duckling or free-range poultry with Cardinal garnish, a cheese selection, and a pear soufflé with Megève milk ice cream. The Signature menu (€190) adds a starter of ratte potato with poulette sauce, dill, and caviar, plus flame-cooked langoustine with celery, hazelnut, and bottarga, and sole meunière with roasted broccoli and Normande sauce. At lunch, a suggestion du jour offers a lighter three-course option for €90.
A wine cellar of around 350 references complements the modern cuisine, and the counter can be privatised. Catering is also available on request.
In 2026, Vous was awarded a Michelin star for high-quality cooking. The recognition feels earned: the kitchen’s modern French cooking is precise, the setting is unpretentious, and the hospitality is direct. It is the kind of place where the chef’s intention is clear from the first bite to the last.
