The story
In the heart of Monistrol-sur-Loire, Robin Carrot and his brother Tom run Casa Verde, a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide. Robin, trained at the prestigious "Hôtel Royal" in Évian-les-Bains and other renowned kitchens, brings a passion for storytelling through food. Tom, a pastry chef by training, found his calling in the dining room, where he transmits his love for gastronomy through attentive, sincere service. Their complementary personalities – “the weaknesses of one are the strengths of the other” – create a unique alchemy that defines the experience.
“Créer tout en s’amusant” – creating while having fun – is the motto. Robin’s cooking is both creative and committed, blending ancient techniques with contemporary trends. The result is a surprising, contemporary cuisine that aims to awaken the senses and challenge expectations. Casa Verde offers a “free kitchen” that breaks the codes of classical gastronomy, making each meal a moment of discovery. The menu, with options like the “Casa Forestal” and “Épicurieux” sets, reflects this playful, exploratory spirit.
Housed in a stone building opposite the Château des Évêques du Puy, Casa Verde charms with its typical character and contemporary interior. Two dining rooms, including an upstairs space, welcome guests in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. The wine list, curated by Alois Pretet, focuses on local appellations and beyond, offering something for enthusiasts. Outdoor seating and wheelchair access ensure comfort for all. Here, the team expresses its personality fully, making the restaurant a place for enriching, reassuring sharing.
