L'Obélias takes its name from an ancient cake – a simple mixture of flour, milk and honey, baked on sun-warmed stones some 7,000 years ago. The word itself, of Greek origin, means "offering". In the restaurant, that tradition lives on as an amuse-bouche, a small taste of history that sets the tone for the meal.

At L'Obélias, chef-owners Léonie Salles and Guilhem Fines draw on experience gathered across many regions and countries. But their cooking is anchored in the here and now: produce sourced directly from farmers in the Tarn and Aveyron, favouring short supply chains.
