The story
At La Dariole, traditional French gastronomy is reinterpreted with a modern, seasonal approach. The kitchen works directly from the market, changing the carte daily to reflect what is fresh and local. This contemporary cuisine remains deeply rooted in classic technique, but the result is light, precise, and driven by the produce of the season. Each menu offers fish, meat, and a vegetarian option, ensuring something for every preference.
The restaurant occupies a charming half-timbered building in the heart of old Orléans. Inside, the atmosphere is rustique-chic – warm wood and soft lighting create an intimate, authentic feel. For al fresco dining, a quiet terrace provides a pleasant alternative. It is a space that encourages lingering, whether for a weekday lunch or a leisurely dinner.
Two formats are available. The three-course menu (starter, main, dessert) is priced at 40€ and offers a concise but carefully composed selection. The six-course surprise tasting menu, at 65€, is a blind journey through the chef’s imagination – the only requirement is trust. A wine pairing by the glass is curated to match each evolution of the menu.
La Dariole’s dedication to clean flavours, market-fresh ingredients, and an understated yet polished dining experience has earned it a place in the Michelin guide as a Recomended restaurant (2026). This recognition reflects a kitchen that delivers reliably excellent modern cuisine without pretension.
Open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday.
