The story
Just outside Oucques, between Blois and Châteaudun, Ô en Couleur is a Logis hotel-restaurant run by the Lanchais family since the early 1970s. The name promises colour, and the building delivers: a modern, design-forward space where bright accents set a lively yet relaxed tone. The atmosphere is convivial, the service attentive — a house that feels like a home.
Chef Vincent Lanchais, who took over the kitchen from his parents, works in a tradition that is both personal and deeply rooted in the region. His cooking is classic French, shaped by the seasons and a network of local producers. The menu changes regularly, offering dishes that balance refinement with honest, direct flavours.
The restaurant holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, awarded for good quality, good value cooking. It’s a fitting nod to the Lanchais family’s approach: generous, technically sound, and always anchored in the local larder. Guests choose from several menus, including a Gourmet menu at €56 and a Prestige menu at €93, alongside a more accessible lunch formula.
Dining takes place in a bright, contemporary room that opens onto a landscaped garden with a pond and sun-drenched terrace. The restaurant is fully air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, and offers free private parking. With 12 individually decorated guest rooms, Ô en Couleur also works well as a stopover for those exploring the châteaux of the Loire Valley.
