The story
In Paimpol, La Serre lives up to its name. The dining room is a beautiful greenhouse, flooded with natural light and surrounded by greenery. A terrace extends the experience outdoors when the weather allows. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, a place where verdure and light accompany each plate.
The kitchen is guided by the seasons, the harvest, and a desire to let each ingredient shine. The result is a refined Modern Cuisine that changes with the market. Two degustation menus are offered: a six‑sequence version at €74 and an eight‑sequence version at €98, each with an optional wine pairing.
Dishes evolve with what’s fresh, but signatures include roasted lobster and prawns with a yellow tomato gazpacho scented with lemon balm, marinated beef tataki, and pluma de porc with Colonata lard. Desserts are equally precise: a chocolate texture with salted caramel and poached Breton vanilla pear, or passion fruit mousse with a matcha tea heart.
The restaurant’s commitment to quality starts with its suppliers. Vegetables come from La Ferme de Kersa, fish from Top Atlantique, and cheeses from La Maison Cloarec and La Fromagerie de la Vieille Tour. This short, direct chain is evident in the clean, focused flavours of every dish.
La Serre has earned a place among the Michelin Recommended restaurants for its creative, ingredient‑driven cooking and genuinely welcoming service. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a whole evening – from the first amuse to the last bite – and feel both nourished and delighted.
