A Parisian Bistro with a Belle Epoque Soul

On Avenue George V, steps from the Champs-Élysées, 19.20 by Norbert Tarayre brings a fresh energy to the classic French bistro. The restaurant, housed within the prestigious Prince de Galles hotel, has earned a Michelin recommendation for its sincere, well-executed cooking.

Chef Norbert Tarayre, known to many from a decade on French television, has returned to his core passion: the kitchen. His project here is direct: offer Belle Epoque cuisine that is affordable and accessible, both on the plate and in price. The focus is on high-quality local produce, with a strong commitment to “anti-gaspi” (anti-waste) and new collaborations with producers.

The dining room evokes the joie de vivre of 1920s Paris. Murals of whimsical animals mingle with iconic monuments like the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, creating a playful yet elegant backdrop.

Simple Cuisine, Honest Execution

The menu is a reinterpretation of essential bistro dishes. Tarayre describes it as “the simple cuisine of our mothers and grandmothers, perfectly executed and with that little extra soul.” Expect a brunch-focused menu that changes with the seasons, sourced from local suppliers.

Pastry chef Hélène Kerloeguen complements the savoury offerings with a dedicated tea-time menu. Her creations—from pistachio Paris-Brest and Basque cake to lemon tarts and black forest cake—are also featured during the Sunday brunch, alongside homemade viennoiseries and a selection of tarts.
