The story
In a quiet street of the 6th arrondissement, at 97 rue du Cherche-Midi, Anicia, table nature is the Parisian home of Chef François Gagnaire. Opened in 2015, it is a restaurant where the chef pays homage to his native Haute-Loire. “In my restaurant, I highlight the products of my homeland: green lentil of Puy, Limousine cattle from Monts-du-Velay, Fin gras du Mézenc, cow cheese with artisous, and other specialties from producers I call by their first name. I am proud to put a face on a product,” he says. Trained by the greatest, Gagnaire has crafted a modern cuisine that is deeply rooted in the land.
The restaurant’s interior was designed by cabinetmaker Pascal Michalon, also from Haute-Loire. “Sharing the new adventure of François Gagnaire, for whom I had already taken pleasure in working, was for me an evidence and an opportunity. Beyond our common origins, we share the same values: sincerity, pleasure, and modernity,” Michalon explains. The wood, lines, and textures create a warm, elegant atmosphere that feels both contemporary and connected to nature. The main dining room seats 37, and the space also includes an épicerie-bibliothèque and chef’s tables in the kitchen.
The quality of this modern cuisine has earned Anicia a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026. Lunch and dinner are served Tuesday to Saturday, with a special goûter menu on Saturdays. The restaurant also offers takeaway and delivery across Île-de-France.
Anicia, table nature is a living space where the produce of Haute-Loire is treated with the respect and intimacy it deserves.
