The story
Aux 2 K is the project of Samantha Kagy and Kimiko Kinoshita, two chefs who met while working at the Michelin-starred Violon d’Ingres in Paris. Their shared training in the South-West of France left a lasting mark, and that regional accent runs through the cooking here. The name itself plays on the word “karma” – the energy of two passionate souls.
The kitchen works by instinct, changing the slate menu regularly with the seasons. Kagy handles the savoury courses – her signature is duck ravioli, a dish that has become a calling card. Kinoshita takes charge of desserts, crafting creations such as a hazelnut and black lemon sphere that delivers a small, explosive surprise. Lunch menus start at €32 for three courses, while the evening tasting menu runs to six courses at €80. A wine list focused on Bordeaux and small French producers complements the food.
Wood defines the space – from the light-wood chalet-style interior to the carved tree trunks and branches that frame the dining room. The atmosphere is warm, robust, and modern, with an easy welcome that extends to everyone.
In 2024, Aux 2 K received a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin guide, a distinction awarded for good quality cooking at affordable prices. It is a fitting nod to a restaurant where two talented chefs run the show, cooking with precision and generosity in a city that still sees too few women in charge of the pass.
