The story
At Baffo on rue Pecquay, Chef Fabien Zannier brings together his Tuscan heritage and northern French roots. The result is Italian cuisine that is both personal and precise.
Zannier carefully sources from the best producers in Italy and France, letting the ingredients speak. The restaurant calls itself a restaurant gastronomique italien – a fine‑dining expression of Italian cooking in the heart of the Marais. Michelin recognised that ambition with a Recommended listing, and the restaurant carries a GURU 2025 award as well.
The atmosphere blurs the line between dining and art. As the restaurant puts it, “the plates become canvases and the walls of the galleries.” A current collaboration with artist Karima Ben Cheikh (AYDI) continues that idea, while the BAFFO arte programme has featured past exhibitions on site. Every detail, from the sourcing to the presentation, reflects a single, careful point of view.
Dishes change with the seasons, always built on quality ingredients: Italian staples reimagined through Zannier’s dual‑culture lens. The restaurant is air‑conditioned, welcomes pets, and offers gluten‑free options. Open Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with lunch on Friday and Saturday.
