The story

Caves Pétrissans: Historic Parisian Wine Bistro & Restaurant, Michelin Recommended

A Family Legacy Since 1895

Caves Pétrissans is first a story of wine and family. Founded in 1895 by Marcel Pétrissans, the cave (cellar) was continued by his son Louis and granddaughter Françoise. Today, the fourth and fifth generations—Marie-Christine, Jean-Marie, and Jean-Charles Allemoz—carry the torch, welcoming guests as friends rather than customers. The restaurant itself celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2009, but the soul of the place reaches back more than a century.

A Bistrot à Vins with Soul

Step inside and you are transported to a warm, convivial Parisian bistrot à vins. The décor is a beautifully preserved 1930s setting of wood, mirrors, brass, and moleskin. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious; you are even free to help yourself to another glass from your bottle if the mood strikes. In warmer months, the terrace on Avenue Niel offers a quiet escape. This is a place where the love of wine is tangible—the cellar boasts over 1,000 wine references, and the team’s advice on food and wine pairing is part of the experience.

Market-French Cuisine & Wine Pairing

The kitchen draws its identity from the same terroir-driven passion. All products are fresh, selected by season, and cooked as classic French cuisine du Marché. Dishes change with what the markets offer, letting the ingredients speak. The restaurant’s Michelin Recommended status (2026) reflects this consistent quality and the genuine hospitality that defines every meal. Whether you dine inside or out, the focus is on simple, honest French cooking that pairs naturally with the extraordinary wine list.

Michelin Recognition

Caves Pétrissans has earned a place on the Michelin guide for its authentic, unforced character. It is not about flashy technique—it is about a century-old family tradition of enjoying great wine and good food in a setting that feels both historic and alive. The recognition is a natural fit for a restaurant that has been quietly perfecting the art of French hospitality for generations.
