The story

Ciasa Mia: Italian Contemporary Dining in Paris Inspired by the Dolomites

Ciasa Mia

On the quiet rue Laplace, just steps from the Panthéon, Ciasa Mia brings the soul of the Italian Dolomites to Paris. The name itself is a clue: in the Ladin language spoken in certain valleys of those eastern Alps, Ciasa Mia means “My Home.” And that is precisely the feeling the restaurant cultivates—a warm, unhurried welcome in a space that evokes a mountain chalet, where the air carries the essence of the high peaks.

The kitchen draws from a singular geography. The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, straddle Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, a region where Italian and Austrian traditions have mingled for centuries. At Ciasa Mia, this marriage is the foundation of the cooking. The menu, which changes with the seasons, respects local products and embraces a zero-waste philosophy. Every element is made in-house, with the ambition of transporting the diner to the heart of those alpine valleys.

The restaurant offers several paths through its cuisine. The lunchtime “Carte Blanche” menu (45€) is a four-step surprise. For a deeper exploration, the “Samuel et Francesca” degustation (85€) unfolds in five courses, while the seven-course “Ciasa Mia” menu (105€) is designed for the truly curious, offering a complete tour of the kitchen’s range. Each meal begins with original amuse-bouches and includes a pasta course—a hallmark of this Italian Contemporary cuisine. Wine pairings are available for each, and a cheese plate from the Dolomites affineur “DEGUST” can be added.

The wine list is a serious affair, with a strong focus on the alpine regions of Italy: Trentino-Alto Adige, Piedmont, and the Veneto. There are bold selections by the glass, including pours via Coravin of aged Barolo and Chianti Classico Riserva. The cellar also features a deep bench of Champagnes and a thoughtful collection of digestifs, including grappas infused with alpine botanicals like gentian and fir.

Ciasa Mia has earned a place in the Michelin guide, a recognition that aligns with its meticulous, regionally-focused cooking. The restaurant is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, with lunch service Tuesday through Friday. The atmosphere is that of a personal chalet—a place where the adventure of gastronomy meets the comfort of home.
