The story
Deux Bistrot de chefs is the story of two friends and chefs, Tiphaine and Romain. They met in a professional kitchen and decided to open their own place in the 11th arrondissement to share their love for good products. The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction and was named Gault & Millau Jeunes Talents laureates.
Tiphaine grew up in Savoie and lived abroad, giving her diverse influences. After studying at the Alain Ducasse school, she worked at Benoit. Romain, from the South-West, started cooking at 16 and built his career in Paris, London, and his home region. Their complementary personalities and shared values result in a cuisine that is convivial, generous, and honest.
The menu changes with the seasons, built on fresh ingredients from small French producers such as Pierre Duplantier, Poujauran, Marie-Luxe, and Eric Ospital. The cooking is described as “precise, modern and gourmand” – plates that balance refinement with bold, true flavors. This is modern French cuisine at its most direct and satisfying.
The dining room is warm and intimate, designed to make guests feel at home. A small terrace is available for warmer days. The restaurant can accommodate up to 40 guests, and private events can be arranged. As the chefs say: “Chez Deux, you are received at our home, and we hope you feel as if you were at your own.”
