The story

Guy Savoy Paris – Modern Cuisine with Michelin Two Stars on the Quai de Conti

Atmosphere and Setting

Guy Savoy’s restaurant sits on the Quai de Conti, with views of the Seine and the Institut de France. The interiors are divided into several salons—each with its own character: the grand “Belles Bacchantes” with its high ceiling and chandelier, the intimate “Vert Galant” named after Henri IV, and the “Bibliothèque” for small parties. The setting is both stately and welcoming, a place where the river light filters through tall windows.

The Menu

The cuisine is modern French, rooted in precision and seasonality. Signature dishes include the artichoke soup with black truffle, served with a brioche feuilletée filled with mushrooms and more truffle—a dish that has become emblematic. Oysters appear in two preparations: a chilled jelly of sea water and a tartare with algae and lemon granité. The line-caught sea bass comes with caviar and marine vegetables; the “cruit” lobster is cooked gently on its coral, paired with verbena-scented courgette.

A tasting menu called “Couleurs, Textures et Saveurs” leads guests through a sequence of small surprises—from a pea dish straight from the potager to a duck preparation presented tableside. For lunch, the shorter “Ne cherchez pas midi à 14h00” menu offers seven courses in about 90 minutes, including the artichoke soup, lobster, and a strawberry dessert evoking Provence. Desserts are classical: a mille-feuille with Tahitian vanilla, a chariot of ice creams and sorbets, and a pure chocolate finish.

Recognition

Guy Savoy’s Paris has held two Michelin stars for years, a testament to its consistent excellence. The restaurant has also been named best in the world by La Liste for nine consecutive years, most recently in 2026. Chef Guy Savoy himself was recently elected to the Académie des beaux-arts, a recognition of gastronomy as an art form. The dining room is open Wednesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, with valet parking and wheelchair access.
